Adrian Sutil drove a two valuable points in Valencia. It could have four, but then, Jaime Alguersuari intervened. In the conversation, Sutil admits that he had the Toro Rosso drivers not on the invoice.
In between it looked eight place at the end after all rank nine. More laughing or crying eye?
Sutil: Even more of a Lachendes. Naturally, I would have liked the eighth. That was very scarce. But I could not simply put Alguersuari at the end. He had out so good traction out of the corners.
You have looked really faster.
Sutil: I was faster in the turns and the harassment. But he has had much more traction when accelerating out of the tight corners. This was also not optimal with the DRS. Since I was a bit in the speed limiter. The DRS zones were not ideal for this race anyway. The first would have need to start much earlier, so that you can really overtake. I had imagined before easier that.
Have you had Alguersuari always in sight?
Sutil: No. I had said honestly not even on the invoice. I was very surprised that he was suddenly front from 18. He has had the advantage with multiple sets of new tires. And of course the two stop strategy.
Would have been an option for you?
Sutil: We have not managed that. We have a very hard car that claims the tires slightly stronger. We had to drive a three-stop strategy. This was the maximum for us.
In between you were off close to Schumacher as he drove with the broken front wing. That looked to increased risk of collision.
Sutil: All or nothing. He gave everything. In the last sector, he has but then noticed that the front spoiler has copped quite a bit. I wanted to simply quickly past.
Yet Nick Heidfeld drove directly behind you.
Sutil: That's why I didn't have time to wait really. Fortunately, he was so slow that I could overtake him in the last sector.
Have you had a chance against Schumacher even without his mistake?
Sutil: Ganz at the beginning I was a little faster. But then he is driven away yet. From the pure speed, the Mercedes was a notch ahead of us.
Renault was defeated at the end but relatively clear. Is it a trend for the future?
Sutil: I think that have lost something through the modified Motormappings. If that be abolished at Silverstone, it may be natural that that be very suffer. After the good weekend I go definitely confident in the next races.
How it looks with reliability? Exhaust? CONTROL?
Sutil: everything has kept by way of exception. No problems.
What do you say to that came all 24 cars to the finish?
Sutil: This is indeed almost too boring.
